RIDELAB 2025
In June, RIDELAB returned for an unforgettable weekend in Cumberland on the unceded territory of the K’ómoks First Nation. Celebrating riders of all levels, this women’s mountain bike festival combined guided trail adventures, bike demos, outdoor wellness, fireside chats, live music and movies, plus camping and food trucks to create a vibrant and inclusive festival vibe.
Featuring pros from Gravity MTB and Island Mountain Rides, RIDELAB offered curated group rides - from cruisers to double-black diamond senders - alongside skills workshops, tech talks, and inspiring chats about mountain bike maintenance, adaptive riding, mental health, and women’s wellness. Plus, bike demo tents hosted top brands like Specialized, Transition, Marin, and Shimano, letting participants test the latest gear and e-bikes in a fun, supportive environment. Pro riders made guest appearances on the rides, adding to the excitement every day.
When the riding wrapped, the energy shifted to the Après‑Village: shady hangouts, chill zones, mystery chip tasting, massages, and a forest dance party. It truly felt like “grown‑up summer camp,” all about connection, growth, and celebrating every rider’s journey. Always a favourite event of mine, I’m already looking forward to next year!
