Hola, I’m Sara.
I’m a Canadian photographer and outdoor enthusiast who’s passionate about my work.
Landscape photography was my first love. I spent countless hours learning to use my camera in nature—where the inspiration’s endless and I’m most at home.
My personal love for action sports naturally progressed into a career in sports photography. Now, I like to blend landscape and action photography - taking images that display both natural environment and athleticism. With events and races I love to be in the heart of the action, capturing those split second moments that tell a story.
I was fortunate to grow up on Vancouver Island and enjoyed an upbringing influenced by oceans, mountains, rivers, and lakes. At heart, I’m still that barefoot kid running along boulders and driftwood to see how far I’d get without touching the sand.
Standing in rushing water, laying on wet sand, hiking through the bush at 1am in search of the Milky Way, and rising before dawn to chase the first rays of light are things I do for fun. Give me wild crowds, dedicated athletes or solitary single-track and I’m happy either way.
I’m forever exploring the depths of photography, preferring to avoid labels and push creative boundaries—continuously learning from other photographers whose work inspires me.
Waking up excited to see what the day brings, creating art, and pursuing my passion is what moves me forward.
Beyond photography, you’ll find me on my mountain bike or snowboard, cruising in my camper van, or travelling the world with my husband, Shane. I am also a team member at Offbeat Photography.
I'm an events manager and I've been lucky to have Sara as the photographer at many of the events that I have worked at and hosted over the past few years. Sara's work is always top tier, and the results speak for themselves.
