Whales, Wildlife & Wilderness Kayak Trip
In August, I had the absolute pleasure of joining one of WildCoast Adventure’s multi-day kayaking trips.
We began with a night on Quadra Island, followed by a morning Zodiac tour. Over four unforgettable hours on the water, we were lucky enough to spot orcas, humpbacks, and even a black bear foraging along the shore. We literally sat eating our homemade lunches while watching the black bear have his lunch!
From there, we were dropped at our first camp (which was already set up for us), and spent the next three days kayaking and wilderness camping. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and truly made the experience what it was. The food was outstanding, and the other participants quickly became friends as we shared the adventure together. Add in the fact that we lucked out with perfect weather, and it really was the perfect way to disconnect from the world and immerse in nature for a few days.
