MOMAR 2025
The Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race is a serious weekend test of grit, putting both your body and your brain through the wringer in the wild landscapes of Vancouver Island. Based out of the old mining community of Cumberland, the course winds through incredible single-track mountain biking, rugged coastal scenery, and some truly stunning terrain. Finishing MOMAR means pushing your limits, both mentally and physically, and proving you’ve got the endurance to see it through!
This year marked the 25th anniversary of MOMAR, which made being out on course feel extra special. I spent about eight hours covering the race—jumping on a boat to photograph the Sport Kayak competitors, hiking sections of trail, and pedalling alongside riders to keep up with the action. Here are a few sample images from the day!
